how it is...

I am living on a disability pension due to both hepatitis C as well as Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP), whereby I am gradually losing use of my legs. I like to garden, but at this point my body can't keep up with my mind or my imagination, so sometimes I find I am frustrated by not being to just do whatever it is that I might be thinking of getting done.

True Confessions!

True Confessions!

I've been trying so hard not to be a bridezilla it has done something to my brain. I actually forgot I had this website!
So here's a quick update - there isn't a meeting scheduled right now, although I expect we will continue to meet throughout the summer. I will keep everyone posted. I hope that after June 30 I will regain my sanity (such as it was!). Look forward to knitting at the Car Free Day in July.

Oh, and the colourful naked men weere part of Seattle's Sustainable Soltice parade. A wonderful event!

June 2nd

Meeting June 2

Faithful comrades: We will be meeting next on June 2, Fridayat 7:30 p.m. Maybe in Grandview Park if it's nice, other wise at the veggie resource centre, 2250 Commercial Dr. (You don't have to be vegetarian or even know how to knit to join us. Just wanting to change the world will be enough!)

Welcome to the Knitting Front

Welcome to the Knitting Front

What kind of shape will the Revolutionary Knitting Front have? Will it be warm and fuzzy or itchy and scratchy?
Come to our first meeting and help construct the revolution.
Friday, February 9th at 7:30 p.m. (we're meeting early so you can still go out dancing after!)
Conrad has generously offered his living room - 1545 East 10th.
Bring your knitting (or crocheting or embroidery or...) and your ideas for radical knitting.
If you don't know how to knit - come anyway - we can teach you.

Proclamation

The Revolutionary Knitting Circle Proclamation of Constructive Revolution

The Revolutionary Knitting Circle's Knitting Manifesto has a lot to offer:

We hold that all communities should have the means necessary to meet every essential need of their own people. To that end, the Revolutionary Knitting Circle calls upon people everywhere to take up the struggle through the tools of local production. We shall bring forth not only our voices raised for global justice, but we shall rise together, with the tools to liberate local communities from the shackles of global corporatism. By sharing in the skills and resources of
